In general, all babies are beautiful. In fact, for a mother it is. However, we will extend the concept of baby to the animal world.

The young of the animals can become very tender and adorable, so much so that more than one of them will be tempted to carry or caress them. Of course, we know that there are exceptions, but in general, those who love animals do not shrink back even if they have about eight legs.

But, what about the more domestic ones, such as dogs? It is said that the dog is man’s best friend, and when a puppy comes into the house, everyone quickly considers it as one more member of the family. Family.

They try to teach him to do in the newspaper or outside the house, to eat certain foods, to do tricks, to obey certain orders, but not everything is rosy. In the process of learning these things, there may be many obstacles.

Although it is true that in most cases people want not only a friend but also a guardian, they do not want to be bitten by their pet now or in the future. They want them to be brave but with others so that they can chase away evildoers.

However, how can you train a puppy that is getting used to biting? Is that even possible? Of course! But you have to do it the right way. For that reason today we will be explaining how you can educate your puppy to have good results.

You always have to know how to administer discipline, even in the case of pets. So do not get up from your seat and pay close attention to the instructions that we will give you. Let’s see…

Instructions for training a puppy that bites

Something to keep in mind is that the fact that your puppy bites does not make him a bad dog. On the contrary, it is a natural part of his growth. Also, it may be that his gums bother you. What you have to do, in this case, is to educate him so that he stops doing it and thus be able to avoid future inconveniences.

When your puppy bites you, you should say “no” in character and firmly. After that, it’s best to ignore it. That way he will know that something is not quite right and that you are not happy with what he did.

If he keeps biting you, you can imitate the sound of a dog when something is in pain, such as a high-pitched squeak. This way he will be able to associate that action with pain and stop biting you. If you get him to stop biting you, you should congratulate him and continue treating him with love, which includes playing with him.

But if you see that his behavior persists despite everything you’ve done, keep a spray bottle of water nearby and every time he bites you, spray him from a safe distance, just to scare him a little.

Keep in mind that the spray must be a spray effect, not a jet. We don’t want to harm the puppy; we just want to correct his bad deed. In this way, over time he will associate the bite with water and will stop doing it.

When his behavior improves, you should praise him by talking to him lovingly and petting him. Do not forget to give him an award, because he deserves it for his hard work.

Naturally, every child wants to play. Therefore, provide him with the appropriate toys. That he understands that your finger or your hand is not to play but to caress him and correct him. As absurd as it sounds, dogs can learn too. Your pup is no exception.

However, for this to be possible, it is important that you have certain resources at hand for your education. For that reason, make a note of the things you need to prevent your puppy from biting.

What do you need to educate a puppy that bites?

To train your puppy not to bite, you don’t have to go out to a pet store and buy everything you see. In fact, what you will need most you will not be able to find it there. It’s about patience and a lot of character.

If the pup notices you hesitating or you laugh every time he gives you a good bite, things won’t change for the better. On the contrary, it will grow and those bad habits will become more ingrained in it.

Remember that for each bite is a “no” that you must say. This must be firm, preceded by a gesture that denotes that you ignore it. In general, with their actions they seek your approval. If you do this, he will know that you are not happy with what he did.

You can also find a spray bottle and fill it with water. Every time he bites you, spray him with a little water so he can associate water with punishment. Little by little it will stop doing it.

Keep in mind that he is looking to play, so you can get him some toys to drain his energy with. There is no problem if he breaks them, in the end they are for him and he can use them in any way he wants.

On the other hand, it is also good that you have a couple of cookies on hand to give him when he does things well. Rewarding him will always be good for him. Just as he will associate the water with punishment, he will also associate the cookie with a good deed he has done.

It is important that you establish a good relationship with your puppy that he feels that he gets more from you if he behaves well than if he bites. It is true that this takes time but the results will have been worth it. You will see that all effort and sacrifice will be very well paid.

However, this is not the only thing you should keep in mind. Below we will be giving you some useful tips that will make your puppy a better pet, one that many will want to pet and have close. Let’s see what we’re talking about.

Tips for training a puppy that bites

The first thing you should do is identify why your puppy bites. It may be that your gums are bothering you. In that case, instead of disciplining him, you should find a way to help ease his discomfort.

The best way to tell what’s wrong with you is by the size of your bite. If it’s loud, it may be because he’s upset or abusing the game. If the bite is more of a squeezing, then it may be due to discomfort in your gums.

If you want to prevent your puppy from biting, then aggressive play should be avoided. That will only stimulate him to act violently and, obviously, he will lash out at you, since you are the object of his game.

On the contrary, you should always treat him lovingly and gently. Pet him whenever you can and don’t put your hand near his snout to prevent him from biting you again.

Keep in mind that it is a pet, not a person, so you must have special patience with it. Remember that in the case of puppies, the best way to discipline and teach him is repetition so do not get tired of saying the same thing over and over again until you get positive results.

It is true that with these tips you will not become a professional animal trainer, but you will get yours to behave in the best way, especially when you have special views in the house.

The saying that the dog is man’s best friend can become a reality in your case. But everything will depend on how you educate your pet now that he is a puppy. Have a good time with him, don’t let him bite you or bite others.
