Although cat lovers think otherwise, in the whole world there is no more noble, faithful and affectionate creature than the dog.

A large number of households have at least one of them. They come in all sizes, colors, textures, races, coats, etc. So you have a lot to choose from. That, without taking into accounts their temperaments and innate abilities.

Unfortunately, many dogs currently live on the streets. Sleeping on the cold damp ground in lonely streets, feeding on garbage, drinking dirty withheld water.

Not content with it, some people hit them and even do worse things to them. Many enjoy hurting them and others do not feel compassion for the situation they live on a daily basis. You can see the number of their ribs with the naked eye and they always have a sad and desolate look.

Fortunately, there are people who are dedicated to rescuing dogs from the street, integrate them into recovery plans and, once they are physically and emotionally ready, offer them up for adoption to families who value their company.

They get a second chance that they surely know how to value and repay. If you want a pet, you can go to a place like these. There you could find who will be your best friend for the rest of his life.

Now, in case you want a specific breed, there are also options for you. You can go to a pet store. Make sure that this is a legal entity and that animals are treated with dignity.

A breed of dog that you might really like is the Beagle. Would you like to know some characteristics of this dog and what is the best way to take care of it? Let’s see it below.

Instructions for Everything You Need to Know and Features

Some people get carried away by appearances and, when adopting or buying a dog, they choose the one they like the most at first glance. Sure, love at first sight is important. However, it is important to know some characteristics of the animal that you will take home.

The Beagle is a breed of bloodhound dog. Due to its good sense of smell, it has been used for hunting, as it has the ability to track hares, rabbits, birds and other game animals.

As for its temperament, it is a very affectionate dog that enjoys the company of the family. He is also very cheerful. However, not everything can be rosy. The Beagle tends to be very independent when making decisions. So, if you want him to know what his limits are, the recommendation is that you educate him when he is still a small puppy.

He usually fits into any family circle because he has a good relationship with both people and other animals.

Since he has a great sense of belonging, the ideal is that the owner can be in constant interaction with him. If you want to have one, you should keep in mind that it will require a lot of attention from you.

As for its physical characteristics, the Beagle reaches between 33 and 40 centimeters and weighs approximately 15 kilograms. They are ears are large, long and with a rounded tip. Its fur is very soft but short and usually comes in three colors, white, black and brown.

Its tail is robust and not very long. While their eyes are large and hazelnut or dark brown.

When it comes to his care, when he is a puppy, he should have a balanced diet that gives him the opportunity to grow appropriately, according to his age. It is important that you do not neglect what is related to your vaccines. Always try to be up to date with that and with the deworming.

Beagles, by nature, have an innate resistance. However, you should not trust yourself. It is necessary that you practice exercise so that in the future you do not become overweight, something that is usually very common in them.

It is not recommended that he be bathed every day, but you should not go to the other extreme and spend months without cleaning him. You should bathe him two to three times a week and don’t forget that, even if he has short hair, you also need to brush it. Preferably after you bathe him.

Their ears deserve special care, since they can accumulate dust and a lot of dirt very easily.

Since he is a hunter by nature, he needs to be outdoors so that he can explore and bring out that hunting part of him. You should pay close attention to this, especially if you live in an apartment. The recommendation would be that you take him out for a walk at least three times a day. A real challenge for those who lead very busy lives. But you must do it for the well-being of your pet.

Now, what else do you need to know about this unique dog? In the next subtitle you will be given some curious facts about Beagles. Stay tuned for this information that could be very useful. Let’s see…

What do you need for everything you have to know and Features?

One of the strangest curiosities about this breed of dog is that, since medieval times, the word “Beagle” began to be used to refer to all the smaller hounds.

This breed has been represented, since the Elizabethan era, in different fields of art, such as painting, literature, television, cinema and even comics. Perhaps until now you had not realized it but, Snoopy is one of the most popular Beagles, since he has appeared in both movies and animated series.

Due to the keenness of their sense of smell, Beagles have not only been employed for activities such as hunting, but also for the detection of some prohibited agricultural plantations. Therefore, they are constantly involved as collaborators with the New Zealand Ministry of Agriculture and the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service.

In general, the Beagle is a very healthy and robust animal. But, with everything and that, it tends to suffer from some conditions. For example: Some show a certain propensity to suffer from epilepsy; others, some cardiac complications; a group of them, eye problems and others, some osteoarticular problems, especially in the back and hip.

One of the most common anomalies is dwarfism. This, in view of the fact that in recent years the tendency to look for Beagle specimens with a much smaller size has emerged. In fact, in countries like the United States, the Beagle has already been classified in two different sizes.

If you notice any abnormality in your pet, it is best to go to the vet without wasting time. He will be able to diagnose your case and give you the instructions that you must follow to the letter for your improvement and recovery.

In fact, going to the vet is essential for the Beagle throughout his life. So that you can take care that it always retains its active, playful and overwhelming nature. Remember that it is an athletic, strong, dynamic, sporty and very sociable dog.

If you live in an area where it is very cold, and therefore humid, you should take care that you do not develop any skin allergies, since this is more common than you might think.

As for its diet, you must be very careful and always keep it at bay because it is very gluttonous and does not fill up easily. His appetite is voracious, so if you don’t watch his diet he could get fatter than necessary and become obese.

So the secret is to give him a good diet and keep him very active. Eating too much and being too active at the same time can be counterproductive, as there have been many cases of stomach torsion.

But this, fortunately, can be prevented if you divide your food into two or three daily portions. Also, you cannot give him water or food just after he has done some physical activity such as running or playing, especially when it is summer or during the hottest hours of the day.

Knowing all this, what other tips are necessary for the correct care of the Beagle? Pay close attention to the last subtitle of this short article, dedicated to a noble animal: The Beagle.

Tips for Everything You Need to Know and Features

As already pointed out at the beginning of this article, the Beagle tends to be very independent in nature, so at times this makes it a very stubborn and headstrong dog. So that you can prevent it from developing in this way, it is important that you educate and train it from a very early age, when it is still a puppy.

This education process must be continuous, constant and firm. You cannot bow down or allow the dog to get away with disobeying one of your commands.

This may require you to have some experience with dog ownership. You must ensure that he performs an activity, be it hunting or some other so that he always remains active, entertained, in good shape and mentally balanced.
